Top Ten Tuesday is hosted The Broke and the Bookish
This is my first TTT post and I just had to join in, I’ve been checking a ton of posts and I always think, ‘so and so’ and ‘so and so’ would be in my post”. So here I am, filling in “so and so” and “so and so” with actual names.
The top ten books I’m so excited to read this Fall are:
Exquisite Captive by Heather Demetrios — I LOVE Heather Demetrios. I will read anything and everything that she writes though I do prefer contemporary over fantasy. I’ve heard mixed things about this book but I’m not letting that deter me.
The Fine Art of Pretending by Rachel Harris — Look at that cover! Sold. This story just looks adorable and I love me some adorable. Sadly, I got declined for this title on NetGalley but if I hear enough good things, I’ll just have to buy it for myself.
Somewhere Over the Sun by Adi Alsaid — Let’s Get Lost, Adi Alsaid’s new book, is my favorite book! I actually just finished rereading it and I was stunned all over again by how beautiful it was. I need more Adi Alsaid and thankfully there’s this little gem.
Love and Other Unknown Variables by Shannon Lee Alexander — I will read any and every book with the words “love and” in the title. It hasn’t steered me wrong yet, I’m gonna keep on going. I actually have this book for review and I’m really looking forward to it.
Afterworlds by Scott Westerfeld — Come to me, mammoth book, and I shall read you! Now, I’ve never enjoyed a Scott Westerfeld book before (awkward) but I need this book in my life! It looks so good!
Magnolia by Kristi Cook — I’ve heard WONDERFUL things about this book! Such wonderful things, in fact, that I went out in bought the book. I need to make this a priority in my life!
A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall — I’ve heard fun things about this and I’m excited to read it. I don’t know if it’s actually a book I will buy but I’m gonna try to get it through a book exchange site. It just sounds like a fun book.
They All Fall Down by Roxanne St. Claire — Shut up. The amount that I need this in my life is unreal! Look at that cover! I need it now! NOW!
Famous Last Words by Katie Alender — I have this for review and it looks like such a fun read! I keep looking at it and thinking “man, I’m so excited to read that”.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor — Look at that pretty cover! I like it better than the U.S. one. I am branching out from my contemporary and a few mystery/spy books into the realm of fantasy, I could not be more excited/scared. I’ve heard great things about this one and I think it’s the one to get me into fantasy novels.
That was actually a lot of fun! I’m glad that I finally did my first TTT. Thanks for reading.
Afterworlds seems a firm favourite this week. Enjoy!

A Little Something Different is on my TBR list, but it didn’t make the cut for my Top 10 Tuesday post this week.

I almost didn’t include it in mine because it is so hard to narrow it down to just ten. I want to read all of the books! I’ve also been hearing some mixed things and sadly my library doesn’t have it.

thanks for reading my first TTT! I wanted to include both books that are popular in the blogging community and some that haven’t even been mentioned. I’m so excited for Magnolia, cute contemporaries are my kind of books. 🙂

thanks! I love your use of dabble. I already have Afterworlds on hold at the library but they don’t have Exquisite Captive. I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews so I don’t want to buy it without reading it but I’ll figure something out, I’m sure.

Ah, I read Daughter of Smoke and Bone recently. It was good, but maybe not quite as great as I was expecting. Great list, though. Here’s mine.

I’ve heard some great things about it, not as good as some other series but I’m excited. Have fun reading Agatha Christie! Her books are great!

I adored A Little Something Different and especially Magnolia! I hope you love both. 🙂 I plan on binge reading Daughter of Smoke and Bone… at some point. Those big books kinda scare me haha. The Fine Art of Pretending I’m looking forward to, too – I love Rachel Harris! Happy reading. 🙂

I LOVE contemporary (as I’m sure you can tell) but I’m excited to branch out. I debated between Throne of Glass series, The Elemental Trilogy, The Grisha series, and The Daughter of Smoke and Bone series to start but I liked that this one was already complete. and she has pink hair, so…. 🙂 they are quite the daunting books though.
